After all the blowback for his "childless cat ladies" comment, Vance goes into clean-up mode by blaming his wife because, of course. After blaming his wife, he doubled down anyway.
His "tax childless individuals and couples more" isn't going over very well, either, but he's doubling down on that one, too.

For the record, we already do.
There has long been both state and federal exemptions or exclusions for each child. Then we have education credits for parents with children, tax deferred or tax free educational savings plans, earned income credits for low income taxpayers with children, and probably a couple of others that escape me at the moment. So we already tax childless people more than those with children.
