Indeed, there are pockets that are horrible.
My post was only intended as comment on the subject of earlier widespread predictions that LLMs were going to kill graduate/entry level jobs particularly in high end service industries like consulting, accountancy and law. It might happen, but early evidence is not yet very supportive of the thesis.
Whether AI can kill a job opening is quite a different subject from whether the government, or the economy in general, is motivated to fund it.
