Part of the upcoming trip is out of the country. Nowhere too exotic or controversial.

But i just discussed with family --- Wifey, daughter, etc --- make *sure* there's NO political shit on your phones, laptop, etc. Wifey - who voted Dem last time and is now accepting volunteer work from the local Democratic Yentas..... has to be careful that there's no abortion rights, or anti-MAGA facebook affiliations etc. Might even put a small American flag on my laptop before the return trip.

I too will kill my bullshit Facebook account and start a new one later and make sure my political stuff is gone for that time. Even this site - where i've written many MAGA questioning things.

I feel sheepish about doing this or even having my family do it. Maybe a tad embarrassed too.

But then again, I live in a country and culture that is in decline and on its way to tribalism. But - the milk and honey here is still very good.

Hence we do what we gotta do i guess.

My sense is we'll just go thru just fine with the hoards of other tourists, all documents and backup documents are 100% legit so should be ok.
