1500 convicted cop assaulters being completely pardoned of their crimes? Which of these represents a greater risk to the public - 1 80 year old man in failing health or 1500 young and middle aged people who don't think that their assaults were a crime at all?

----------------

Getting swept up in your rhetoric as you exaggerate that 1,500 cop assaulters being pardoned... The actual number is around 350....

The Department of Justice released numbers on its website in October 2023 detailing arrests made, criminal charges, plea deals, criminal trials, sentencing.

According to the DOJ, approximately 350 defendants have been charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers or employees, including 110 people charged with using a deadly or dangerous weapon or causing serious bodily injury to an officer.

Other crimes, not involving violence include:

935 defendants were charged with entering or remaining in a restricted federal building or grounds.

310 defendants charged with corruptly obstructing, influencing, or impeding an official proceeding or attempting to do so.
