Thank you for this.

That was unexpectedly intense. Begins with a short macro set-up about WWII and ends with a killer macro, who-knows-what-comes-next; in between are principles and "timeless lessons." The whole thing brought me to tears. My family and my husband's family and me and my husband are all there. As are our friends and neighbors, variously doing well or struggling.

It started so brisk and breezy, but packed a punch as strong as many classic novels I've read.

Again, thanks. I, too, am giving it to friends and family.
