That was, somewhat arguably, a reasonable thing to say less than 4 weeks ago. Now look. How quaint.

I'm 76 effing years old, lived in the same house for nearly 40 years, faced my share of shit yet persevered and prevailed. Yet now I'm up at midnight having to think about pulling up stakes. I'm disgusted and dismayed beyond words, not only at the ruling junta but more profoundly at a solid majority of my "fellow" Americans--i.e., all the ones who actually voted for four more years of venal insanity (1) in hope that the price of eggs would henceforth subside or (2) to keep the brown lady from getting elected, plus (3) all the ones who couldn't be bothered to get off their collective asses and check a box to prevent all this. Basta!
