The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

This is yet another one of Trumps unforced errors IMHO...

On this, we agree. The Felon is a walking unforced error. A lot of EOs are already blocked by courts (because he thought he could decree it instead of working with Congress to legislate it), he's already p-o'd Greenland and Denmark, and his people are walking-back his comments on the US taking over Gaza (like we would want that kind of a headache??).

I pretty much block the Felon from my newsfeed...much better for my stress levels. So, there is undoubtedly a lot more I'm not aware of**. But that stuff has "leaked" past my blocks. And he has only been working for 3 weeks.

But I need to write a check to the ACLU. I suspect they are going to have a lot of legal battles in the next four years. I may be a white guy, but my family is Asian. So I'm perhaps more tuned-in to racial things than a lot of mga puti (i.e. white folks).

Dare I say, but voting for the Felon also was an unforced error by about 77M Americans (give or take). Maybe less...they never should have gotten him past the primaries. There were a lot better candidates (from a republican perspective) than the Felon. I probably wouldn't have liked any of them, but they at least would have been competent.

**And can't do anything about it for at least two years with Congress, and four years for POTUS...assuming we still have free and open elections by then.
