Trump cult likes to make vile jokes and then gaslight people who call those jokes vile. It's a method of desensitizing people to the vileness in the jokes, whether it's racist humor, bigot humor, sexist humor.....
When I was a kid in the 1950s this was how a lot of racism was spread: asinine jokes, the whole point of which was to make African Americans seem stupid and inferior. As a kid I didn't get the real point of it, but those jokes had a way of spreading racism, something it took me a while to understand.
Now I cannot understand how good people, like most of the Republicans on this board, can possibly vote for a POS like Trump. It's all phony grievance and hatred stoked by right wing media and right wing politicians.
