Trumps 2017 tax cuts doubled the estate tax exemption, raising it from $5.5 million per individual in 2017 to $11.18 million in 2018, and indexed it for inflation each year thereafter.
For 2025, the exemption is set at $13.99 million per individual or $27.98 million for married couples.

Well, this at least will help my sister when I die. Assuming it's still in place when that happens.
