If they don't change the way they vote, it is unlikely that there will be any bail out for the farmers.

I don't know about that. They've been given handouts so many times, why not now? They are a core constituency and they're influencers in the "heartland" so I'd expect them to get some more freebies. Many of them could, without irony, be considered the Welfare Queens of the past several decades.

Buy local! (my plug for Farmer's Markets and even having your very own Victory Garden, if possible)
