Nikki Haley did an interview today on CNN. It covered a wide range of issues. But I want to set those aside for just a moment. The last part of the interview was about the personal side of Haley.

We here spend a lot of time demonizing the other side because of their policies. But there are real people on the other side. If we go too far in our demonization, we slip into dehumanizing our opponents. And that is a very dangerous place to be.

I encourage everyone to watch this last bit of the interview, which is almost completely free of political issues and instead looks at Ambassador Haley's recent personal life. Set aside the political for just a moment and learn a little bit about the person rather than the politician.
