frankly, the fact that tourists are going elsewhere seems pretty small relative to trump's other damage.
for canadians, they are taking the lead but it's 'only' ~8% drop. its the border state small biz that will disappear. their grass-roots boycott of american goods is boosting 'made in canada and europe', but again a relatively small impact for america.

the real impact will occur if foreigners stay away from american sites for the world cup.
i am skeptical how many will avoid, and there also seems enough local demand to fill the seats.
but the big question is, with trump's gestapo fully funded, will he step up attempted jailing and deportations of so many wealthy foreign spenders on american soil? after all, MAGA are fans of the other kind of football, and will demand their fascist entertainment via taxpayer dollars.
