If someone appears to be repeatedly personal, lean towards patience as they might not mean offense. If you are sure, however, then do not deepen the problem by being negative; instead, simply place them on ignore by clicking the unhappy yellow face to the right of their name.

Dope is the perfect foil. He creates opportunities for others to expose his lies and therefore present the truth. While he may not be wrong all the time, he is most of the time. Like so many on the right, he refuses to use reliable sources of information.

Foil: something or someone that makes another's qualities more noticeable by being very different from them

Dope enjoys being the antagonistic fool on the dunk tank bench. .

Is there any other plausible reason a person would spend so much time -decades- being debunked on a relatively obscure social media website?

If he got a dollar for every time he was dunked (and invested them in an index fund), he'd be relatively wealthy man.
