An interesting commentary on DG's recent issues:

Brief summary: DG isn't undergoing several discrete issues, but is overstretched from the COVID boom (i.e., supply/inventory&shrink/labour/&disconnect between HQ and the ground level are all related to stores being overstretched), and management is not too openly communicating the problem while it seeks to resolve the issue. While management may be partly in denial, there are indications from the recent call that they have recognized and are addressing an issue that can be resolved (while being a bit muted for PR reasons). Basically crux of the issue is whether management is addressing the problem of overstretch.
