Uncle Ben was a real guy?

Only in the sense that a male model used in an ad campaign is a real guy.

Was his given name “Uncle Ben”?

Was the myth of “Uncle Ben” based on the life of the guy who posed for the picture?

Actually, the myth of “Uncle Ben” seems to be a compilation of two people- one a waiter in Chicago named Frank, and the other- a black rice farmer in Louisiana named Ben.

In 2020, Mars told Ad Age, "We don't know if a real 'Ben' ever existed."

You are upset over the removal of an advertising strategy- nothing more.
