The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

The military did NOT respect Trump, and he didn't respect them.

'President Trump has the highest respect and admiration for our nation's military members, veterans and families. That is why he has fought for greater pay and more funding for our armed forces,' Esper said in a statement.

Trump is the one who set the deadline with the Taliban. Biden just honored it.

Trump set a timeline but it did not need to be honored. Biden used it as his excuse to pull out of Afghanistan. Biden's generals opposed pulling out completely. Biden did not take into consideration anything his generals advised, therefore resulting the most horrendous mistake of any cic in America's history.

Snip
'Top generals told lawmakers under oath on Tuesday that they advised President Joe Biden early this year to keep several thousand troops in Afghanistan ' directly contradicting the president's comments in August that no one warned him not to withdraw troops from the country.

The remarkable testimony pits top military brass against the commander-in-chief as the Biden administration continues to face tough questions about what critics are calling a botched withdrawal that directly led to the deaths of 13 American service members, scenes of chaos at the Kabul airport, and the abandonment of American citizens and at-risk Afghans in the war-torn country.'

Biden is going to be in Alaska, and there will be a ceremony of some sort. What of it?

Oh, just another disrespect for America and the 3,000 Americans and others who lost their lives in the attack on American soil.
But as another poster so aptly said it, 'Wherever he will be, he will be looking at his watch, anxious to leave on his next vacation.'
