"what companies in the Nordic countries are the best businesses to invest in?"

I hold a few of these (and have held for a while)...Protector Forsikring. A Norwegian general insurer with operations in the Nordics, UK and just starting a business in France. It aims to be the low cost option, which of course rings a bell.

I don't know if it fits your criteria but as I enjoy reading these boards & rarely have anything useful to contribute I thought I would mention it.

All reports are in English, as are their presentations, like most large Nordic companies.

If you fancy something Finish how about UPM? A paper producer which is also producing energy. As well as European operations it has a plant in Uruguay which has just got up to full production. I don't own at present.
