The "visual capitalist" has constructed another map. This time, it's a how-green-is-your-city map. My local cities rank among the bottom.

Of course, that isn't really a surprise. It's difficult to get "green areas" in central or southern Arizona. You have to dump a lot of water on them. We do have some parks. In fact, we have one of the largest municipal parks within a city in the work (South Mountain Park). But it ain't green. Rock and scrub.

Water quality is "OK". Tap water is hard, but safe. Because of the weather, we do have "air pollution alerts" relatively frequently. Sometimes you can see it hanging over Phoenix, but a lot of the time it is invisible (e.g. ozone). So you can't see, but it still isn't good for you.
