I've been following the Tuttle family since their early days, instruments bigger than they were, feet didn't reach the floor.

With AJ Lee, they played the westcoast bluegrass festivals as they grew up; proud papa Jack (instructor at Gryphon Instruments in Palo Alto)on bass looking for all the world like the cat that swallowed the canary.

Telluride Bluegrass begins today. If you've never been, it's bucket list stuff. The most beautiful concert venue imaginable. Main stage performances are live-streamed on www.koto.org beginning at about noon today.

Not to be missed: Chris Thile and Billy Strings set today. Folks may remember Chris as the sharp-witted mando-phenom who took the reins when Garrison Keeler took his leave from the Prairie Home COmpanion.
