I'm nothing if not fair. He got this right, and the SCOTUS just upheld a challenge to the foreign investment tax. He still got the other tax cuts wrong, but he did get this one correct. So kudos for that.

from what am currently aware, also agree.

ultrawealthy (<1%ers), on both left and right, get pitched large stakes in (not necessarily large nor public) foreign companies as effectively a permanent tax deferral vehicle. of course, they now just need the accountant to 'efficiently' keep them below a 10% stake.
i imagine someday they would followup with stepped up inheritance on theses foreign stakes, and\or some other scheme to perpetuate the avoidance.

nonetheless, i expect net trump policy to keep falling farther behind broken clock win rates.
