I like some of their policy positions, dislike many, but figure they wouldn’t get to do them anyway.

Some policies embraced by the Populist left, not only the DSA, include "Medicare for all" and "paid family leave", which are overwhelmingly popular with "We The People". It's just the corporatist faction that doesn't want to disrupt the capitalist nirvana, with concerns about actually working for the common good, rather than private profit.

"defund ICE" or "defund the police", as offered before, is crazy talk. But those agencies need to get rid of the storm trooper tactics. It should be obvious that it is wrong to sit on a man, until he slowly suffocates. It should be obvious that it is wrong to grab brown people off the street and rough them up. I agree the border should be secure. I agree that "JCs" that cheat USians by hiring illegals, should face consequences. But the way policy is being implemented is wrong.

Can't help but wonder who she sold out to, to run away from the policies that her continuants voted for. I heard her trying to justify her selling out: some blather about how she needs to work with other people in Congress, as if that was mutually exclusive to advocating what she was elected to advocate for. The entire episode reeks of she had her price, and someone found it.
