Years ago I had private health insurance when I was self employed, but eventually got denied because of a preexisting condition. ACA showed up just in time for me to get reasonably priced insurance, otherwise I would’ve had to get insurance through the state’s high risk pool, which seemed insanely priced at the time.

I’m using COBRA from my last job, but ACA was to be my safety net for insurance until I qualify for Medicare, which is still years away. However, with the election results and the winning party’s desire to do away with ACA, now I’m wondering what my options are.

Anyone else in the same boat?
