Ya, I make a nice 8 digit investment in DG then start to really dig into it. :) That said Todd Combs and Warren also suggest looking at the numbers before looking at the narrative.

Absolutely Ugly, the worst I've ever read. What's the connection to GD? Former CEO, Jeffery Owen , was on the BOD for several years till a year ago. Susan Lanigan, is the former Executive Vice President and General Counsel of DG. Their HQ is in Brentwood, TN. DG's HQ is in Goodlettsville, TN. Both are basically Nashville, TN.

Does that make a difference? Maybe it does as KIRK took off like a rocket ship then exploded. I was suprised that KIRK had somewhat the same strategy of "rewarding" shareholders with buybacks -- till it looks like it broke them.

With interconnected management and probably investors that have lost most of their money DG may be getting painted with the same brush.
