not a reason to dispense with checking at all.

Only in the minds of the deranged (Trump & MAGA, but I repeat myself) does anyone think there has been “no checking at all”, or that anyone has ever proposed “not checking at all”.

This goes on in every state, in every county, in every precinct for every election.

But apparently this is too difficult to understand when Great Orange Leader proclaims otherwise. Honestly, it’s like the Wizard of Oz, who must never be questioned.
