What you're actually saying is that that there is bi-partisan ignorance on how data centers are cooled.
If people really cared about water use, they'd focus their outrage towards about enormous amount of water used to grow corn that is later processed and used to put in our gasoline tanks. Oh wait, you said farmers and land owners. Never mind.
