Currently only 94% of Apple's value is used in the SP500 due to Berkshires holdings before the sales. With the sales, 100% of Apple's value will be reflected in the SP500.

From the article:

In the wake of Berkshire’s sale, passive funds tracking these indexes may now have to buy as much as $40 billion of Apple stock when they next rebalance, according to Piper Sandler’s estimates. That’s triple the average daily trading volume of the company’s shares over the past month.

Aussi who is surprised that Berkshire's sale of Apple will result in Apple's weighting being increased in the SP500.
