I honestly can't say that any of my close friends are in the MAGA/Trump camp, unless they are 'closeted'.

But, of course, I interact with Trump voters every day and those interactions are fine. Outside of social media, most people know it's not worth discussing politics. We are so deeply divided.

I took my guitar amp to a man who specializes in fixing old Fender amps. A friend had forewarned me not to bring up politics. Good to know.

At one point this guy says, nobody is buying amps and guitars now. Puzzled I asked him why he thought that was so. His reply: "We've just lived through the worst presidency this country has ever seen. Nobody can afford anything."

I didn't respond and he let it go.

In my brief interaction he struck me as a very nice man and we have a lot in common. Now maybe we could have had a non rancorous political discussion but given that neither of us was going to have our mind changed, it just seemed best to let it lie.

Biden in his mind the worst; no doubt in his mind Trump, the best.
