I had an investment idea. Commodity prices run in cycles. If you picked out the best commodity companies. Maybe Chevron for oil, etc., and took a basket of commodities. Steel, Gas, aluminum, gold, etc., and then bought the best companies, when the commodities were say 1.5 standard deviations below the 200 day moving average and sold them when they were 1 standard deviation above the 200 day moving average, it seems like you would do well. Thoughts?
