Brookfield Raises $1 Billion to Back Smaller Infrastructure Companies.

The manager aims to invest with fund sponsors that need capital but don’t want to sell their holdings.

The manager in New York said it reached its target, raising around $1 billion for its Brookfield Infrastructure Structured Solutions Fund.

Key investors in the fund include the Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System, which committed up to $250 million. Brookfield said its affiliated investment funds put in $150 million.
