We've had a few scares but fortunately results have been negative but it still prevents traveling and other stuff since you have to deal with medical appointments and worrying about the results.
I have a friend (ex-coworker) who in retirement takes a ton of wildlife photos with his phone and also a camera. I never had interest in photography. I'd go on a ski trip, take my camera (no phones in those days) one day to do my photos of the area and then forget about it the rest of the trip :)
Somewhat off topic but a supposedly solid gastro doctor that I went to back east gave me one diagnosis and that would have increased life insurance costs if I was younger and needed it. Now out west my regular doctor and the GI doctor both don't agree with that diagnosis. Then I went back to look at the online reviews of the other doctor and the common complain was that the doctor is over zealous with his diagnosis of that illness. Kind of disappointing but fortunately it didn't require me to take any medications or undergo any unnecessary treatment. Just another reason you often need at least a second opinion before doing anything major.
We went back east to visit family and friends and it was a rough trip. I wasn't feeling well before going and it continued while there. Not a cold/flu but something bothering me. I came back and under went testing but nothing found and now I feel pretty good. My wife forget her medications and had major issues while waiting to get them refilled since we arrived on a weekend.
Enjoy things while you can, since you know it won't last, just don't know when it won't.
Stay well
