WatchingTheHerd: Of course, if Democrats retain control of the Senate, cabinet appointments by a re-elected Trump will be placed under an electron microscope and likely blocked at any whiff of prior deals such as this. I'd expect Trump to overlook this possibility. If Greenberg was thinking along the lines above and still entered into this "partnership," he apparently has not considered it either which may prove he is equally corrupt and dumb as Trump.
Does Ken Cuccinelli ring any bells? Cuccinelli was brought on board by Trump as acting Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security after McConnell made it clear that Cuccinelli would not get confirmed.
More than likely, Trump, who has sidelined the chamber’s role and placed loyalists in these critical positions in the past with the label acting in their titles, would most certainly do so again.
In a second term, there is literally nothing Trump will not destroy to enrich himself, his family, and his cronies.
So that makes the key word in your quoted comment: "corrupt." And as we've seen over and over again, Trump is totally corrupt and he totally corrupts those around him.
