I've enjoyed the Murderbot series by Martha Wells. Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky was excellent.

Just finished Children of Time. 100% agree. Didn't see the twist at the end coming. Book 2 on order.

Murderbot book 4 on deck.

Also read Hammer of God by Arther C Clarke. Quite good. Asteroid/Comet heading towards earth.

And something different, read American Sniper. Saw the film when it first came out, never read the book till now. The film made Chris Kyle a more troubled, sympathetic character. He's not that way in the book. He wasn't troubled, he wanted to kill as many "savages" as he could.
