Is it just me? Login status and posts read color (greyed out) are not persistent between browser sessions.

I have double-checked and I cannot repeat that, so it might be idiosyncratic/rare/weird-browser-behaviour.

Update: I have tested this behavior on two laptops running Windows 10, one laptop dual boots with Linux Mint 21.1. The OS and browsers are up to date.

So, I guess it's just me unless I use the Microsoft Edge browser which I am loath to do. Thanks for looking into this.
