Regardless of whatever the official response is, once they catch the shooter it won’t be a great time to be a member of whatever group(s) the shooter is from.

Keep in mind the trend that the media blatantly pursued: all Muslims involved in mass shootings were involved in the "unified global conspiracy of Islamic boogymen", but a white guy who did the same thing, was "funny in the head". That tendency drew a lot of flack, when the media tried to write off Dylann Roof as a nut case, in spite of his long trail of ideological expression that lead to the mass shooting.
