I’m fully convinced that nearly everyone still supporting Donald Trump knows he is a reprehensible human being and guilty of high crimes against this nation, but they simply can’t admit to themselves or anyone else they made a mistake
Sounds like someone replacing 'ignorance' with 'pride' as a proposed cop out.
Perhaps most of these voters just prioritise the outcomes they want - and dismiss everything else as secondary, be it misconduct, habitual lying, corruption, compromising the constitution.
Whether or not they'll actually get those outcomes is of course another question.
